There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in LNB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Marineros - Leones 72-73 An interesting game took place in Puerto Plata where Leones edged by one point Marineros 73-72 on Thursday night. Leones looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Naturalized Spanish Eulis Baez (201-1982, college: W.Illinois) had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Austin Ajukwa (201-1995, college: Charlotte) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Leones players scored in double figures. American forward Marcus Rhett (190, college: Alfred St.) responded with 14 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import Kerwin Roach II (192-1996, college: Texas) scored 12 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Leones' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santo Domingo . Visitors were edged by Titanes 93-92. Henry Valdez saved the victory by scoring 30 points. Point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) replied with 28 points and Chilean Juan Garcia (-2001) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Metros. Four Metros players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Titanes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Bond is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Soles' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best player for the winners was Rigoberto Mendoza (187-1992) who had a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Gerard Devaught chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Juan Suero (196-1993) produced 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Spanish guard Michael Torres Cuevas (188-1994) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Indios players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios will play next round against Marineros trying to get back on the winning streak. Reales will try to continue on its current victory against Soles in Santo Domingo. Metros made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Metros made 7 blocks. American Brandon Moss (208, college: LSUA) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) chipped in 18 points and 8 assists during the contest. Marineros outrebounded Titanes 44-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Carlton Bragg Jr (208-1995, college: N.Mexico) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Marcus Rhett (190, college: Alfred St.) chipped in 22 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Rhett is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Marineros players scored in double figures. Jordan Williams (198-1992, college: N.Texas) responded with 22 points and Keith Jordan (198-1998, college: SHU) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Marineros will meet Indios in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
